Battle of the Sea 4 Friends is a two-player game, where the aim is to sink all of your opponents 5 ships, whoever accomplishes this first is the winner.

At Gamytech, we believe that life is more fun when shared and experienced with friends. That’s why we create simple, yet irresistible games for friends that can be played anywhere, anytime, and on all mobile devices.

Battle of the Sea 4 friends is played in the following way:

Rules:
· Place each ship in any horizontal or vertical position, nonetheless not diagonally.
· Do not place a ship in a way that any part of it over-laps letters, numbers, the edge of the grid, or another ship.
· Do not change the position of any ship once the game has begun.
Decide who will go first, and then alternate turns between you and your partner.
You alternate turns by selecting a location on your opponent’s ocean grid and vice versa.
Hit- If you select a shot that is occupied by your opponent’s ship.
Miss- If you select a shot that is not occupied by your opponent’s ship.
Sinking a ship- Once all of the holes in any one of the ships are filled with the red pegs, it has been sunk.

The game is played on four grids, two for each player. The grids are typically square – usually 10×10 – and the individual squares in the grid are identified by letter and number.[7] On one grid the player arranges ships and records the shots by the opponent. On the other grid the player records his/her own shots.

Before play begins, each player secretly arranges their ships on their primary grid. Each ship occupies a number of consecutive squares on the grid, arranged either horizontally or vertically. The number of squares for each ship is determined by the type of the ship. The ships cannot overlap (i.e., only one ship can occupy any given square in the grid). The types and numbers of ships allowed are the same for each player.

Type of ship
Aircraft carrier 5
Battleship 4
Submarine 3
Destroyer (or Cruiser) 3
Patrol boat (or destroyer) 2

After the ships have been positioned, the game proceeds in a series of rounds. In each round, each player takes a turn to announce a target square in the opponents grid which is to be shot at. The opponent announces whether or not the square is occupied by a ship, and if it is a "hit" they mark this on their own primary grid. The attacking player notes the hit or miss on their own "tracking" grid, in order to build up a picture of the opponents fleet.

When all of the squares of a ship have been hit, the ship is sunk. If all of a players ships have been sunk, the game is over and their opponent wins.
